the Price of Satellite Cable TV

I was recently paying $29.99 per month for satellite TV service. I received 160 channels of programming. This was a promotional price that I paid for a year.

Of all of the TV service I have ever had whether it was cable or satellite, this was by far the best deal I have ever seen. Most companies for that price will provide anywhere from 60-70 stations of programming. But with receiving 160 it almost doubled the amount of stations I got. I loved the fact that is also came with a directory that I could access at any time for any station and see exactly what was showing on all stations while still watching my current station. The while switching from one station to the next, as well as the occasional time when new software had to be downloaded and interrupted my service (never more than 5 minutes) was slightly annoying, but well worth the price I was paying.

I was able to get this service for such a great price because I also signed up to get my DSL service through the same carrier. In addition, I signed up for a special one year promotion as the service I got is normally $50 per month. But at the end of the year promotion I called back and signed up for another promotion and was able to extend my special pricing for another year. So when signing up for new service, it is definitely worth a call to a live person as they can often tell you about promotions that you maybe won't be able to find online.
