Description of service
For my whole life, I have been taunted for having long, pointy incisors. I have been called names like Vampire, Vamp, etc. After many years of hating my teeth, I asked my dentist if there was anything that could be done to make them not so pointy and long that was safe and would not hurt. She suggested having them filed down just a bit, stating that it would make a big difference visually but not really affect the structure of the tooth. I agreed to it, scheduled it, and had it done. It did not require any numbing and took less than 1/2 hour. She simply used an electric dental file and took the tips off my incisors. Now I do not look like a vampire.
Review of Service
I love my dentist. She is great to deal with and is blunt and honest with you. I am so happy with how my teeth look now. If I would have known it would be so easy, painless, and fairly cheap, I would have done it years ago. I would recommend this to anyone who has the same issue with their incisors.
Tips
ASK! If you are concerning about your teeth appearance, ask you dentist specific questions about what can and can not be done to make you feel better about yourself. You may be surprised what is available and things are always coming available, so a no one year may be a yes another year. Be sure to be smart about it and know exactly what you are having done though, and know that your insurance will most likely not cover anything that is not medically necessary.
