Description of service
The fees were for the services of a DJ at our daughters wedding, and included set up, before and during dinner music, and dance music for a total of 6 hours. The DJ also introduced the bridal party and family, handled the introductions for the toasts, and generally entertained at the gathering the entire night.
Review of Service
This DJ service was excellent. Very professional, but also very entertaining and a lot of fun! He even got the groom to do the "chicken dance", which surprised all of us! The musical selections before and during dinner were excellent; good music played at just the right sound level to allow conversation, yet still be enjoyable. He made a point to ask about the correct pronunciations of the bridal party and family names before announcing them during the "Grand March", and played just the right mix of music for dancing, trying to be sure to play a variety that would appeal to the large mix of people in attendance at the reception. He also varied the tempo of the music well, and inserted some of the little interactive songs here and there to keep the group moving and having fun. I couldn't have been happier, and at less than $100/hr. I thought it was well worth the price.
Tips
In addition to the traditional bride/groom, father/daughter, mother/son song selections, be sure to make a list of any additional songs you'd like played during the evening. This particular DJ will even give you a partial list of the music he has available that you can just check off and make notes if you want a song played at a particular time or for a particular person. It's also nice to have "request cards" available on each table, so that guests can write down their favorites and hand them to the DJ during the evening.
