The price was for Disc Jockey, Which was a close friend of the family and rental of the equipment which included two 15in. Speakers, including the two speaker stands, Mixing board, All cords and cables that were needed to run the system and two microphone. The only Stipulation to this choice of DJ is that you must own your own laptop computer. We called many music equipment rental stores in our area and within a 60 mile radius of our planned wedding location. Also we called several different DJ's from our local phone book to see if someone would dj using our rented equipment for a cheaper price then they offer when using theirs. $100.00 For DJ and $100.00 for rented equipment. Also We used a friends Laptop to download music which cost us $30.00 to subscribe to a music download site.

I was very happy with the equipment we rented, the sound was great, everything was set up and looked wonderful. and since we had such a small wedding we didn't need huge equipment with all the lights and everything. The DJ who as I mentioned was a close friend was great, and since he new myself and my husband, he new what kind of music we liked and what fun stuff would be appropriate for our wedding. The longest process was downloading all the music for the wedding.

If you dont have a Laptop, you can find places that will rent them, or it helps if a family member or close friend has one you can borrow.

Search around. Look at all options when deciding on a DJ and equipment, It saved us $500.00 to $800.00 renting equiptment and having our friend DJ.
