Description of service
The service represents one-year full tuition cost for my younger brother at a local private high school (9th grade). It is not a religious-based school, but rather an academic-based and fine art institution. The mission of the school is to encourages a diverse body of motivated, committed, and able students to develop their full intellectual, ethical, artistic and athletic potential and to flourish as curious, creative, and responsible citizens whose lives have meaning, balance, and a capacity for self-renewal. The $17,180 figure represents full tuition fee including books. It does not, however, represent any room or board as this school does not have dormitory or housing, and each student is responsible for their own food.
Review of Service
While private schools are not for everybody, public schools aren't either. My brother definitely fits into the second category, and is absolutely succeeding at this school. I know this would not be the same had he still been in public schooling. Thus, I would say it is worth every penny because a proper education truly is priceless in today's world.
Tips
My best tip would be to do a lot of research and visit the school before jumping to a decision. Otherwise, there is no way of knowing if the school is the right place for your loved one to flourish. Sit through a day or two and see hands-on what the school is like.
