Description of service
My son just graduated from a Jesuit college prep school in Kansas City. Tuition is 9800 per year.
Review of Service
Outstanding. The academic requirements are very high and I have confidence that my son will excel in college thanks to his education at this school. The teachers are very involved with their student's progress and the counselors are excellent. This is an all-boys school. They also have a very good athletic department and an excellent football team if your child is interested in sports. It has a dress code for students and they may only wear Dockers, dress shirts and dress shoes. This school not only prepares your child for college but they stress character and leadership.
Tips
Most Jesuit schools offer scholarship programs or reduced tuition. Check with the administration office for information on scholarships and the GPA required of all scholarship students.
The GPA requirement for all students is quite high, so make sure that your child has established positive study habits and is prepared for a heavy class workload. Much of the curriculum focuses on science and math, so be sure that your child has a good understanding of both subjects before enrolling. Have a frank discussion with your son about his feelings about attending an all-boys school, because if he decides he'd rather attend a co-ed high school you've spent a lot of money on tuition only to have him not graduate from this school.
