Karate lessons for kids.
It's part of a program called "extreme youth sports classes" and it's through the local state recreation center. It's not a set time limit, the classes are on-going and you can stay with it as long as you want.
You can set up the payments many different ways, whatever is convenient for you. You can take in a check or mail them a check - you can set it up on direct withdrawl on whatever day you want it taken you - you can sign up for "x" number of classes and pay in full. That's usually a little cheaper.

The instructors are professional and their credentials are posted in the training rooms. They are also specially trained in teaching children.
The classes are for kids who are beginners and experts. The empasis is on self-protection, a defensive approach. Students need to feel safe against bullies at school
Tips
Look for school-sponsored or state-sponsored programs. They are always less expensive than retail training centers.
Ask for background information on the individualy teachers that will be exposed to your child. Wherever you go, they should understand - given the sad state of affairs in this world.
