the Price of Painting Classes

I took a 4 week painting class for beginners. The cost was $200 for 4 weeks of 2 hour classes once per week. Painting and one canvas were included.

These were good beginning classes. We learned about form and the different types of paints and shading techniques. By the end of the 4 weeks we had a completed painting to take home. The instructor was very professional and obviously had a lot of experience both painting and teaching. Most of the class was hands on, which is great. The only complaint I had was that it was a pretty short class and we really had to fit a lot into only 8 hours. I think it would have been better to take a class that was 8 weeks so we could have taken our time. We also were not allowed to remove the canvas or paint from the classroom. I understand why, as all the materials were included. But I would prefer to have paid less for the class, buy my own materials and have been able to continue working on my painting at home between classes.
