the Price of Email

I have had an email account with a certain FREE email provider for over 10 years now. At first the storage space was limited, and within the last year or so, storage space for my email account has been changed to UNLIMITED.

Granted before this took place, I had to either delete my emails, or save them to my hard drive for me to later access and then load onto a CD disc or floppy for later retrieval.

I have had many email accounts over the years, and friends and family have my "MAIN" email account, while I use a few others for surveys and things like that when I want information and sent to my other account so my main account is not flooded with alot of BULK mail.

I have never had a problem with this FREE email account site for all these years. One friend whom has had an account with one other service, one for business and one personal, said he lost ALL of his data with his email account. Every email, every photo family had sent. It was gone. The company never explained the glitch in the system, could not tell him what happened, and I feel, free email account or not, things like this may happen. It's something in the computer world we cannot explain.

I myself, would never pay for any email service as there are so many of them out there, and some come with free Home Pages or a Blog area, so if you wanted to share your life happenings with friends and family, you simply give them the link to your Home Page/Blog area for them to access at any time and you can post photos, links to your favorite places to visit online, update it any time of day and its a FREE way to keep family and friends in touch and updated with your life!
