Description of service
After debating for months, I finally decided to get a perm. I have long hair, so my perm was going to cost $120.00. Salons usually charge by the length of your hair, for services like hair dying, or perming.
Review of Service
The salon that I chose was recommended to me, by a few people that I trust, and they also have beautiful hair. The whole process took about 3 hours total, rolling the hair in the perm rods seems to be the longest part. My hair turned out beautifully, but the chemicals that they use to perm it with, doesn't smell so great. I ended up with a head ache. You also can't wash your hair for at least 24 hours after the perm, so your hair doesn't smell very good either.
Tips
I think when having this type of service done, you really should look for experience, not price. When ever you have a chemical service done, it's best to have an experienced, and reputable salon doing it, rather than trying to save money, and possibly getting your hair burnt, or fried. A perm that is left on only 10 minutes too long, could cause your hair to frizz.
