the Price of a Perm

I went to a local salon and had a perm. The cost of the perm was $60 and I left a $15 tip for a total of $75.

I wasn't happy with the perm, but I'm not sure if it was the fault of the salon or not. I had never had one before and thought I'd give it a try. I turns out that my hair type doesn't take well to the chemicals they use to hold the perm.

My hair ended up just looking incredibly frizzy. I was pretty disappointed as I would think the professionals at the salon would know what kinds of hair are good for this type of procedure.

The lady who performed the service for me was very nice and professional as were the people working the reception desk. I did go back to the salon after the fact to show them my hair and ask if they had any advice. They didn't have any advice except to have it styled differently to not be quite so frizzy. They did offer to do the haircut at half price but I declined.

If you've never had a perm before make sure you have the right style for a perm as well as the right hair texture.
