This was a perm for my 14 year old daughter. The process took about two and a half hours. The stylist used traditional curlers that were size 6, I believe
Review of Service
The Hair Stylist wasn't very receptive to my insistance that my daughter recieve a wave perm and promptly "curled" her up. This was not what we wanted but I didn't feel like arguing with her. She kept insisting that because my daughter's hair was so long she needed a tighter curl in order for the perm to take and hold for as long as possible. It was a mess, it was way too curly and my daughter intentionally washed it out as fast as she could. I was disappointed in that I had learned of wave perms in a fashion magazine but that the employee seemed to have no idea what that was, nor was she willing to listen to what we were really asking for. In fairness, I think the stylist probably did a good job with the type of perm she insisted on giving my daughter, just that- as noted, it wasn't what we requested.
Tips
In the future I would specify very clearly in advance what we want and what we are willing to pay for. I have a feeling that knowing and trusting the stylist would help a great deal. We just walked in off the street in this instance.
