Description of service
My daughter is in an in-home day care 5 days a week. They are open from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. They get fed breakfast, lunch and a mid afternoon snack. They have a toddler program, pre-school and pre-kinder program that prepares them for kindergarten. The younger ones get a nap in the morning and afternoon, the older kids get a nap in the afternoon. What is great is that there is a separate entrance so you are not going through the house. There is also a separate daycare area with kitchen and bathroom for the children so they are not wondering through the house. She also has two workers besides herself in the morning and two workers in the afternoon. My daughter is definately ready for kindergarten!
Review of Service
I had my oldest son in an in-home daycare before. My biggest problem I had was if the daycare provider was ill, I had to find alternate daycare which was really hard. So I hesitated to put my daughter in an in-home daycare. When I found this daycare, I thought it was great that there were actual workers there and that I did not have to worry if the owners were sick. They are open except for weekends so I don't have to worry about them closing to take vacations. Being in a smaller environment for my daughter has made a world of difference. She was able to have more one on one with the morning teacher. I was able to see her progress as they kept a chart of how she was doing and they prepared her extremely well for when she tested for kindergarten.
Tips
I would make sure that the workers are CPR certified. What type of program they have for the preschoolers and pre-kinder children. Being able to speak to parents whose children are already there is a plus. I was able to speak to some of the parents who had nothing but great things to say about the daycare. I also checked the daycare out with the Better Business Bureau to see if there were any complaints as well. Luckily, I found none and they were in good standing.
