Description of service
My son currently attends a small home daycare in the south suburbs of Chicago. The provider has just just my two year old and another child around 10 months old on a regular basis. The current agreement in place is very reasonable and affordable for me and my family, we provide all meals, milk and snack. Because we are vegan, this would be the set up for us even if the daycare provided all meals, milk and snack.
Review of Service
The advantage of a home daycare to me is the personal attention that the children receive as opposed to a daycare center in which they may be one of many in their age group. This particular caretaker has been a close family friend for a number of years and I have nothing but the rave reviews for the level of service that she has given my boys.
Tips
Make sure you know what food items if any are included in the price of daycare services. This can vary greatly from provider to provider. I have paid as much as $200 a week and had to provide every meal and snack. To me this is way too much when I can find comparably priced daycare and have the option of not providing meals.
