the Price of Landscape Design

When I first moved into my home, my backyard was a complete mess. I had some ideas of what I wanted to do with the space, but I am not very experienced in landscaping. I know nothing about plants and trees especially. I hired someone to design my landscaping. I paid this person 500 dollars for their design ideas.

I was ecstatic with the service the designer provided. She came up with an idea for my yard that I never could have thought of on my own. She was very knowledgeable about flowers, shrubs, and trees. She also had good ideas regarding patio layout and a retaining wall. Now, my yard looks so beautiful, and is a perfect place for me to entertain guests.

Before choosing my designer, I met with several potential people. I had all of them walk around the yard with me and talk about ideas they had for the yard. The designer I chose in the end was the one who I felt listened to me the most regarding what I wanted to get out of the yard. She also had pictures of yards she had designed in the past. This was especially helpful as I realized from looking at her work that her and I had similar tastes.
