Description of service
The hotel we stayed at while we were vacationing in San Diego did not have a spa, so we found an outcall masseuse to come to our room and give us each a one hour massage. She did four massages in a row, only taking breaks for the time that it took for one receiver to get dressed and the next to get undressed. For my massage, she started with my back and neck and spent a lot of time working on them. Next, she worked on my shoulders and arms, and then spent a little bit of time on each leg, hands, feet, and lower back. She especially focused on places where I was tense or where there were knots, which was great.
Review of Service
This was one of the best massages I've ever had. She was very responsive to what tension and knots she found in my muscles and she used techniques I've never seen before, like rolling her knuckles and working on my shoulders while I was laying on my back.
There were a couple of things about the massage-in-your-hotel-room situation that were not ideal, however. First, it made it so that no one else could get into the room without interrupting your relaxation, so it was pretty inconvenient for everyone who wasn't getting a massage. Second, the music wasn't ideal, as she didn't bring any with her so we were just listening to a radio station that approximates what they normally play for a massage--great, except for the commercials.
Tips
Overall, I think that outcall massage is a really great service. As with everything, personal referrals are a good way to make sure that you're getting someone who is both trustworthy (since they'll be coming into your space/home) and also good at what they do.
