Description of service
I was in a minor car accident last month (February 2009) and have been experiencing mild pain and discomfort ever since. My wife recommended a massage therapist she has used in the past. I was charged one hundred dollars for the hour and I gave her a twenty dollar tip. She brought her own table, towels, and oils. She focused most of her work on my neck and shoulders, where I experience the most pain and tightness. However, she did massage my full body.
Review of Service
I don't feel better. The massage itself was nice, but it wasn't very therapeutic. To be fair, and I knew this going into the session, my injuries are not the kind that can be massaged away. They will just have to heal on their own. I would like to try again with another massage once I feel better. At first, I was a bit uncomfortable having a stranger rub me while only clothed in a towel, but she was quite professional and quickly put me at ease.
Tips
If you are in my situation, go see a doctor. Don't risk, possibly, doing greater damage to yourself by going to a massage therapist. However, I will certainly call this young lady the next time I'm overly stressed and looking to relax.
