Review of Service
After studying karate for only a short time many years ago, I am incredibly grateful that I found this type of martial arts when I finally decided to pursue training once more. The authenticity of practice, clarity of teaching and devotion to karate as a unifying principle by which one can live one’s life are always present – whether in the seemingly simplest of drills or the great seminars that are offered. As a runner, I can also say without qualification that the careful attention to breathing technique, core energy and proper body mechanics that are among the uniquely effective hallmarks of their teaching have been absolutely indispensable to my running. As a beginning student, I also would emphasize that those who train there make the dojo an especially welcoming community and a great place to learn."
Tips
Ensure before you start any martial arts that it is very important for the stretching to be slow and consistent. If you overstretch and injure your muscle, you have to go back to a lower level of flexibility and start again. Easy does it is the Key!!! Aim for results over a period of months and not weeks. A word of caution, don’t be tempted to overstretch, a mild pulling should be felt but it should not be too uncomfortable. Also don’t bounce when you stretch as this can tighten the muscles and could cause injury.
