Review of Service
The service we receive from our local agent was very good.
She explained the available coverage, including the fact that Personal Injury Protection is not required on Motorcycle Insurance, but if we don't carry it and my husband lays the bike down, he wouldn't receive any medical benefits from the policy and wouldn't receive any pay for time off work. So, as dangerous as motorcycles can be, I think this is very important coverage. And with the low rates offered by our carrier (about 1/2 the price of quotes from other carriers) we decided to accept the medical coverage. Plus, with the money we saved, we were able to afford comprehensive and collision coverage for the bike.
Tips
Motorcycle insurance cost varies significantly depending on what company you go through, so definately shop around. Also, it's a lot cheaper if there are no single male drivers under age 25 in your household. Who woulda thunk it?
