Description of service
The camp grounds do not take reservations so it is first come first serve which is great for a last minute trip. When you arrive at the main gate, you are handed a map of the camp sites with a list of the still available sites. You take a drive around and come back to the main gate with your top three picks for the sites you would like. If you first choice is still available then you'll get it, if not they'll move on to your second and so on. Once you get the map and get used to the area you'll be able to pick from the list without driving around so you have a better chance of getting what you want.
Review of Service
For the money, easily one of the best camp grounds in this part of the state. The park staff are friendly and helpful. There is a grocery store not too far down the road from the park entrance. A lot of the camp sites, including the one I used are water front or at least have a view of the lake. The park offers boat rentals and a tackle and bait shop. Very fun, I will be returning.
Tips
Arrive early. Since the sites are first come first serve, the early bird does get the worm. Call the park ahead of time and make sure they have what you're looking for. This lake doesn't allow swimming or use of jet ski's or waterskiing. That would be a bummer to find out once you are already there.
