Description of service
This is the price our family paid on a recent camping trip in Alabama. The price was a flat rate per night per campsite. We stayed two nights on the weekend and it was not terribly crowded. The price did not include wood which was an additional five dollars. Also available were electrical and water hook ups for an additional fee of fifteen dollars per day. The campground was family oriented and was located next to an 8 acre lake. We did not need a reservation for this campsite.
Review of Service
This was definitely not the nicest campground we have been to, but it was okay. The bath and toilet house was not very clean, but it was free to take a shower! Also, the campground had tons of things for the kids to do: fishing, horseback riding, hiking, and paddle boats. The paddle boats were five dollars to rent and the horseback riding was $15 per ride. We had a great time overall. The price was extremely reasonable too compared to other campgrounds in this area.
Tips
Most campgrounds now have websites that list daily rates, show pictures of the campsites, and tell what activities are offered. Some even allow you to make reservations online.
