Description of service
We decided to use a local banquet hall that had a beautiful outdoor hilltop location for our wedding and reception. It is a popular choice and we had to reserve it about nine months in advance for a June event. For the $2000 price, we had access to the hall from 9:00 am to 11:00 pm, and the location provided us with day-long access to the kitchen, changing rooms, and staff to help direct parking and serve food during the reception.
Review of Service
I knew even before I was engaged that this location was one that would be perfect for a wedding, and my day was really special, in part because of the great weather and grounds that made everything convenient and memorable. Because they were so familiar with the wedding details and process as a result of handling one nearly every weekend, it all was very simple and there were no major problems. They provided me with all of the support and assistance that I needed, and worked well to coordinate with the caterer, florist, and photographer. We felt that the price was reasonable because we had the location to ourselves for the entire day, and we were very satisfied with the service.
Tips
Once you find the right location, reserve it as soon as possible so that you don't have to worry about finding a location as part of the general planning process. Also, talk with the location's staff for suggestions and ideas - they have seen almost everything so they can be a good resource for advice and opinions about your choices.
