I had a special procedure preformed on my teeth called Porcelain veneers, for those who don't know what that is, Porcelain veneers, alternatively termed dental veneers or dental porcelain laminates, are wafer-thin shells of porcelain that are bonded onto the front side of teeth so to create a cosmetic improvement for a tooth. Porcelain veneers are routinely used by dentists as a way to make cosmetic changes for teeth that are discolored, worn, chipped, or misaligned. They are quite expensive though, it cost nearly $5000 and two trips to the dentist. The prices does not vary much no matter which dentist you do to, so its best to just find a dentist who specializes in this certain procedure.I got my six upper teeth and my six lower teeth done, since this is only for cosmetic purposes, there is no need to get the back teeth veneered, because no one can see them anyway.
Review of Service
Porcelain veneers are semi permanent, so for $5000 to have nearly a life time of nice teeth is well worth it to me. This is becoming a very popular procedure and I would recommend it to anyone who is unhappy with the present appearance of their teeth.
Tips
Not just any dentist can preform this service. Its best to find a dentist who specializes in cosmetic dentistry. He would be better informed and trained in this area.
