Description of service
I had two porcelain veneers placed on my front teeth to correct and close a prominent gap. The $500 fee included only the veneers and not the office visit. However, I did not need to be sedated for them so there were no other charges.
Review of Service
The service I got was quite good. Although my dentist is not a cosmetic dentist, he did an excellent job with the veneers. His pricing was fair as well. He answered all my questions, gave me advice on care and cleaning, and sent me home with a toothbrush, floss, and other goodies. The only thing I really didn't like is that the dentist was not too apt to give out pricing information over the phone. He wanted me to book an appointment first. He wouldn't even give me a ballpark estimate.
Tips
Call around to a few different dentists first--but don't automatically go for the cheapest one! Check out samples of their work. The dentist I have came highly recommended through a friend who had veneers done by him as well, and that is the main reason I chose to go with him. That, and his prices were pretty much on par with everyone else I called. Personal recommendations are really the best way to go for this type of dental work.
