A dental veneer is basically a covering that is placed over a tooth and it protects the surface of the damaged tooth. I recently got a dental veneer fitted over a front tooth that was badly damaged. I had to pay $350 and that covered all the charges. There was no other fee that I had to pay. These were for a porcelain veneer.

I was quite satisfied with the service that I got. I had to visit the dentist twice. The first one was a general appointment when he decided that I needed a dental veneer and during the second visit the actual veneer was placed at the right place. For getting a tooth veneered, he did not use any sort of anesthesia; just some drilling was done and then the veneer was placed. I also got a lot of advice regarding maintenance of teeth. My tooth now looks great and till now there has been no problem whatsoever.

For getting a dental veneer, do not just go to any other dentist who provides cheaper service. You must first check out the work of the dentist or go there only if that particular been recommended by someone reliable. Secondly, getting a veneer might be too expensive in some cases; so it is better to have your finances ready before hand.
