the Cost of Preschool at a Public School

We pay $100 a month for public school 1/2 day pre-school. The teachers are all accredited. The class size is a bit large.

This is a pretty good deal for the money we pay. The classes are big but this aids to socialization and teaches the kids to learn to work independently so it's alright with us. We have the option of morning or afternoon pre-school but once you sign up for one you can't switch. This does save us some money on daycare as both my husband and I work. The school offers a bus service to a local daycare that a lot of the pre-school kids use, so that's a definite plus. The teachers are all very friendly and passionate. My child really enjoys going here and is excited about the different projects they get to do. I'm not sure how well it's really preparing her for kindergarten next year but she has a good time.

If you are going the 1/2 day pre-school route see if they have an option to bus the child to your daycare option, if they're in daycare. This can save a lot of worry and cost. Make sure the teachers are accredited.
