the Price of Taxis

Taxi service for 2 people. About 4 miles round trip. And one stop at the grocery store for about 10 minutes. Seven dollars to take me to the grocery store which was only 2 miles away. 5 dollars for the taxi to wait for 10 minutes and then another Seven dollars to take me the 2 miles back home. The Taxi was a seven passenger van.

I was picked up on time, when I got in with my 8 year old daughter the cab driver was smoking, I asked that he put his cigarette out, he told me that I could have requested a non smoking cab, but did as I asked and put it out. On our way to the grocery store he said we had to make another pick up, I asked if I would only be made to pay have of the cost because I was sharing the cab, he said actually, I wouldnt be sharing the cab because the other passenger would be going to a different stop. I didnt want to argue so I didnt. We picked the other person up, and then we were dropped at the front door of the grocery store. When we came back out the driver was pulling into the parking lot, we were suprised that the other passenger was gone, the driver told us he had dropped him off already, I said then you didnt technically have to wait for us so I shouldnt be made to pay for you waiting, he said that he had to come back and pick us up so it is the same as waiting. I was not pleased at all with the driver, and along with the cigarette smoke the cab smelled like body odor

If a cab company shows up and you dont like the inside of the cab or the drivers attitude, call for another cab. Sometimes cab drivers just dont care about anything but getting from poit A to point B and you dont deserve to pay for that kind of service.
