Description of service
We had to have the screen replaced on an in dash DVD player and radio. The screen was broken but the audio would still play, there was just no visual display. They new screen cost 150 and there was a 50 labor charge to remove the broken screen and install the new screen.
Review of Service
The service was good but a bit slow. It took about 4 hours to remove the broken screen and hook all of the wires up and test out the new screen to make sure that it folded back into the dash properly. It had to be done by a certified audio tecnician so that the warranty would still be in effect and the insurance on the car would still be good, just in case the wires short out and the car catches on fire. They installed the new screen and made sure everything worked properly, even the remote control.
Tips
I recomend finding someone who is not only certified but also has good reviews from friends or family. A car is a lot more to most people than just a means of getting from point a to point b and you want to know that your car is in good hands. Make sure they go through and show you that everything is hooked up properly and working as it should before you leave the scene.
