Description of service
I needed laborers for clean up on an industrial painting project on a part time basis. The work included climbing on a 148 foot elevated water storage tank, shoveling spent abrasive blasting media from the cat walk to the ground then removing it from the groung and putting it in roll off dumpsters. This was performed inside a containment where temperatures reached 115 degrees. I used the services of a temporary labor supply company.
Review of Service
The service worked out better than I would have ever imagined. As long as I called the company by 4p.m. the day before I needed to utilize their work force workers could be on the job site by 7a.m. the following morning. The company had a van and would drive the six employees that i had needed to and from work on a daily basis. All of the men were hard workers and did anything that was asked of them.I used them about two to three days a week for about five weeks until the job was complete.
Tips
If you own or work for a company which is sometimes short on laborers look in the local phone book under temp services. The expierence I had with them has led me to be able to bid more jobs while keeping employee cost down. If you use these services you are not responsible for any of the typical expenses you would have with your own employees such as health insurance, social security or federal taxes on their earnings. It ended up saving me a great deal of money.
