Description of service
I hired two employees from a local day labor temporary outfit. They worked 2 days helping me totally revamp my garden. I paid for a package to get 6 hours per employee for 2 days at 10 dollars per employee. That came to $240.
Review of Service
When the temporary workers showed up I told them exactly what I wanted done. They were obviously experienced and were very good at communicating that they understood what I wanted. I had paid for them per hour but told them that if they got the work done to my satisfaction I'd let them go as soon as they were done and still pay them for the full 2 6 hour days. This worked out great for them because they were able to complete the work in about 9 hours total and got to go home early with full pay. It worked out great for me because I wanted the work done as soon as possible. I knew how much I was willing to pay for the project but wasn't able to get a contract to pay by the hour with the temp agency.
Tips
Make sure to clearly communicate to your workers exactly what you want. Paying per project, if an option, is often a better way to get the maximum out of your workers. This way they won't try to stretch the project out to get their maximum pay.
