Description of service
This was a beginning spanish class taught at a local high school in the evenings to adults. The class was held once a week for an hour per class and was taught by a native spanish speaker. We began with the alphabet and greetings and went to learning verb conjugation and sentence making. The class session was $65 for a total of ten weeks. Included were handouts and the text book.
Review of Service
This particular teacher did not have a lot of patience for very beginners, but she was very thorough with teaching us the proper pronunciation. The room at the high school was very nice although it was kept a little cold. There was a lot of homework involved which was great if you used it. I would have liked to learn about more culture.
Tips
Contact your instructor before the course begins to find out what kind of requirements she has and how the cirriculum is before the first day. Make sure you do your homework and look ahead in the chapters. Being prepared is the best way to utilize this kind of course. it also helps if you know a spanish speaker to practice with to take the class with a friend.
