Description of service
Hola! I went through a program in Buenos Aires, Argentina, a couple of years ago, and the price was 1,200 for a two week period. This did not include air fare. Housing was included with a Argentinian "host" family, but you can have the option to get your own place to stay, or to stay at the school
Review of Service
I absolutely LOVED my experience in Buenos Aires. I could not be happier, and I would do it again in a heartbeat, though I would probably go to another country just to get a new experience! The people are great, the classes are wonderful. Hablo Espanol!
Tips
I had my heart set on Venezuela, but if you're on a budget, look around at the different countries. Some countries are cheaper than others, like Ecuador and Guatamala. Also consider the price of airfare. It is probably cheaper to get to the countries near the Panama isthmus. Also, keep in mind that not all South American countries speak the same kind of spanish. Argentinian spanish is a little different than the more widespread Mexican type of Spanish. And, of course, Spain has a different kind of language, as does Portugal. You may want to learn these, or you may want to stick with the more common language. Another thing to keep in mind is that sometimes you can get discounts for staying longer. If you can afford it, why not?
