Description of service
The above price was for three years of pre-paid membership. It includes use of several locations throughout the country. Most locations have the same features: lots of machines and freeweights as well as classes. Some have a pool, tennis courts, and basketball courts. There is personal training available at an extra charge, and I think I had a few sessions included in my membership price, but I haven't used them.
Review of Service
The gym is great. It has everything that I need and it's always open when I want to go. There are TV's throughout and most of the cardio machines (treadmills, ellipticals, etc.) have headphone jacks. When I go at "prime time" it's really too busy to be useful. However, during the off hours it sometimes feels like I own the place. The staff is friendly, and they do seem to know a lot about fitness.
Tips
Gym membership is a tricky thing. You may think that you'll go every couple of days, but usually you won't. most gyms count on this. They sign you up for years because they know that you'll pay but won't go. It is definitely worthwhile to consider if you'll really use the services regularly. If not, then consider using the money to buy a home gym of some kind. You may not use it any more than the membership, but it will last much longer than the membership
