Description of service
The car's serpentine belt broke, and we were forced to have the car towed to the nearest auto mechanic. Towing was covered on our insurance policy, but we had to pay for the service and then submit it to the insurance company.
Review of Service
The tow truck arrived exactly as promised. The people were very professional and courteous. Our car was towed the few miles that it needed to be towed and we did not experience any damage to the car in the process. The man asked us if we needed a ride, but we did not, because we had the other car available to us.
Tips
1. Make sure you know how much the service will cost before you have your car towed. Once they have your car, you are at their mercy.
2. Make sure the company is reputable and reliable, and is experienced. It's bad enough to require car repair, you don't want to have to pay for the cost of repairs to the body or exterior as a result of damage done by a towing company as well.
3. Be aware that some towing companies charge an extra rate if the car requires towing beyond the radius of a few miles; hidden costs can be painful.
