Description of service
I paid $99.00 for seven weeks of tiger cub (4-6 years olds) Tae Kwon Do classes for my four year old son. After the seven week trial period, a six month contract is required. It was $79.00 including tax for the classes, which included a white Tae Kwon Do jacket, a belt, and pants. It costs another $20 for a t-shirt (optional, but he would have been required to wear the jacket to class if I didn't purchase the shirt). They were taught tae kwon do three times a week for thirty minutes each day. Every two months their skills are tested ($50.00 extra, but we didn't stay for two months); if they pass, they will get a different color stipe on their belt.
Review of Service
I thought that the service was worth the price. I like that we had the option of signing up for a trial period, rather than signing a six month contract. My son liked the class. It teaches younger children to pay attention to adults. But, as far as learning Tae Kwon Do, they learn at a very slow pace in this age group. Although we decided not to stay longer than the trial period, I would consider letting my son go back when he's seven years old.
Tips
For someone considering any type of martial arts, I would suggest that they read the contract details. Also, be sure to know the price of any testing, competions, or other epuipment before hand. For younger children, you may want to watch a class to see what they will be taught before you sign anything.
