The price quoted above is for the placement of a special advertisement in the local yellow pages telephone book that encompassed two printed lines of text. The ad included a selected small description of the services that my business provides to customers along with the name of my firm and the telephone contact number.

The placement of the ad in the telephone book was a fairly cut and dried process. The telephone directory printer was able to provide a few different options for the look of the advertisement that was placed, but given the small size of the specialty ad taken out, the options were primarily limited to the background color of the ad, whether or not it would be in bold typeface, and whether or not there would be a printed border around the ad specifically. The service developed the simple ad well, and the resulting printing was more than satisfactory for our business needs.

If you're looking to place an advertisement in your local yellow pages, make sure that the first step you take is figuring how big of an advertisement that you'd like to have in terms of lines and columns, as pricing is based primarily on this type of size determination. Also, pay attention to how graphically intensive your ad is, and whether or not you're going to include service descriptions, alternate contact information, or other info that might be pertinent to the business operations.
