Description of service

Consultation with Yellow Pages advertising salesman, drafting of advertisement, placement of advertisement in Yellow Pages

Review of Service

The Yellow Pages salesman contacted my office to see if I was interested in purchasing an ad for their phonebook. I agreed, and the salesman came to my office to discuss prices and options with me. He was very helpful, and even rescheduled on short notice when I needed to postpone the appointment. He showed me the various size, text, photo, and placement options, advising me as to what other professionals in the same field as I tend to go for. He showed me examples of other ads so I would have a feel for what I was going to use. We picked a medium sized ad, and he left to go make a proof of it. He called back later in the week, brought the draft by for me to proof, and I had a few small changes. He made the changes I had suggested, brought a second proof by along with a bill, and that was all it took. It was relatively easy, the salesman was nice and helpful, and I will have a prominent placement in the Yellow Pages for my services. It was also relatively inexpensive compared to other methods of advertisement.

Tips

Before you call the salesman, try to look through the Yellow Pages to see what others in your profession are doing. It will save time when trying to decide what you're looking for in an ad.
