the Price of French Lessons

I took a summer course that included 2 classes per week that were 2 hours long to learn French. The class lasted 12 weeks and cost $1200.

I was very happy with this experience. I had 2 classes per week. Each class was 2 hours long. One of the classes focused on book learning, where the teacher would lecture and explain different very conjucations. The other class focused on conversational French and we would talk amongst one another in the class.

Both parts of the class were very interesting and useful. I fell like it was a really great combination between book learning and 'real life' learning. I made a lot of friends and definitely felt like I learned a lot while I was there.

The only issue I had was that while we were doing the talk amongst yourself portion of the class, the instructor didn't take the initive to come out amongst the class and help us out or tell us where we were going wrong. She depended on the other students to tell each other when things were wrong.

Try to find a class that has a good balance between lectures and conversational learning when it comes to foreign languages.
