the Price of French Lessons

I had to learn the basics of French for some official purpose. So i deciced to pursue a one month basic course. I joined an institute where the effective cost was $35 per hour. The fee for the complete month was to be paid in advance and that too before joining the course. The class was held three days a week and the duration of each class was one hour.

The service that i received was not that good; partially because i think that the a lot of time is required to learn any language and this cannot be done if you have a strict schedule and timeline to stick to. But as far as the teacher and mode of teaching is concerned, it was very good. The price was good and so were the teachers. There was even a native French to assist us.

I wish to say that nevere go for short term courses to learn French as the language is very tough and you need a lot of time to learn it, no matter the level upto which you want to learn it. Secondly, finding a good tutor is very important; if you feel shy in a group, do opt for private classes as any doubts need to be cleared at the earliest in order to avoid future problems.
