Description of service
I just bought my first boat in January, 2007. I recently moved to Tampa, FL from the midwest, and I've been told if I'm going to live in Tampa, FL, I have to have a boat. The harbor where I keep my boat offers a maintenance service, so after checking with other boat owners at that harbor, I employed them.
It's $200 a month charge and includes many items shown in my review.
Review of Service
It includes initial examination of the boat to check for repairs needed and what I guess would be called "detailing" like for a car. They waxed it, cleaned and sanitized the seats, inside sides, and all the controls.
They also checked everything underneath the boat - the part that's in the water
The best part of the maintenance package is that it's also a security service as well.
If you just want the security service, its $100 a month, but I wanted all the extras they had to offer because I am a new boat owner and they know more than me what needs to be done and when it needs to be done.
I want to make sure I'm safe out in the Gulf of Mexico.
Tips
If you are getting a package deal like I did, rather than just a one-time expense, make sure you've checked them out in great detail.
