Description of service
Every spring when I get my boat out of storage I take it to the boat mechanic (at the boat dealership) to have it maintenanced. They change the oil, lube up everything that needs it, give it a thourough inspection (and make repairs as needed) and even clean it up for me. I have a bit of an older boat, so this really helps prevent problems from happening. The total cost for this service is $150 and includes all general parts and labor. If a part needs replaced, or repaired that is extra, but thankfully this year everything was in tip top shape.
Review of Service
This service is good becasue it helps prevent other problems from happening. The people at the dealership are always extra nice, but can be kind of pushy when it comes to trying to sell me a boat. I have an older boat, so they always think I'm ready for a new one. Other than that, this service is flawless.
Tips
I called around to different boating places to get a feel on what I should be paying for this service. There aren't many boat repair shops around me, and most of the ones that are there, are in a dealership - so call around to differnet boat dealers to get a referral to a good mechanic.
