Description of service
Every spring, when I get my boat out, I take it to the local boat dealer's mechanic to have some general maintence done to make sure that I will run all summer without a problem. They change the oil, clean it in and out and check all over the boat for safety issues. The total cost this spring was $75 but I have paid less in the past.
Review of Service
I use this service as a precaution to make sure that my boat is running all summer long. There have been times where I will need to take it in mid summer to have it looked at, but generally taking it in the spring is all I do. The people at the boat dealer are very nice and are always trying to sell me something, which I usually decline. I really like how they clean my boat and make it sparkle. I feel like i'm picking up a new boat every time.
Tips
There isn't very many boat mechanic shops in my area, but I found a few in the phone book so you can look there to find one. If you're auto mechanic will look at it, you can let him or her do the maintence. Also ask around at the local dock to see with who or where every one is getting their work done.
