I visited a lawyer because I had purchased a car, however after being pressured by the sales team into a car that I didn't even like, that I could not afford, I attempted to return the car the next day. The finance company had called and said that I had to have insurance on the car within twenty four hours or I would have to return the car. Well, I was unable to obtain insurance on the car which I felt like nullified the contract since it was a stipulation. I returned the car to the dealer but was informed that it would go on my credit as a reposession. So I visited a lawyer who said that no, they could not do that. The attorney charged me for one billable hour and mailed a letter to the dealer and the finance company on my behalf explaining the situation. The letter was enought to resolve the problem.
