I was on a vacation in San Diego for a acouple of days and getting a cheap and comfortable bicycle on rent was what i needed. The dealer asked for $35 per day but i managed to get the price reduced to $55 for two days. I had paid only for the bicycle. The bicycle was to be delivered at my place and had to be collected from the same place.

The service i received was amazing. The bicycle was delivered at my place at the right time. The dealer even gave me the map of San Diego, with detailed map assistance, along with the bicycle. I was also given a helmet, a punture repair kit and a camera bag. In short, the service was quite good.

The most important thing that should be kept in mind before finalising the deal is that you must go in for bargaining, as the price that the dealers normally demand initially is too high.

Secondly, go in for reservation well in advance as that proves to be slightly cheaper.

Be careful while choosing the type of bicycle that you intent to take on rent; also do ask for certain freebies such as bells, locks, etc which sometimes the dealers do not provide if you do not ask for.
