Description of service
Our family rented bicycles for an hour to ride up and down the boardwalk. The cost was $20 per bike.
We were down on the boardwalk and wanted to get quickly to the other end to see the sunset. We spotted a bike rental stand and knew that would be perfect. I don't know what kind of bikes we got, they certainly weren't anything special or made for any kind of tough riding.
Review of Service
They did insist we wear helmets and claimed they would charge us $100 surcharge fee if they saw us riding their bikes with no helmet. Since there was no car traffic and we were biking very slowly around the pedestrians I didn't really appreciate this rule. It was really hot and the helmet didn't help!
Other than that I had not complaints. We actually brought the bikes back about 15 minutes late but they didn't say anything to us. They were closing up shop for the day so I guess no one else was going to rent them anyway.
Tips
Find out about any safety procedures they insist on before choosing a bike rental company. Be sure to know if they're going to charge you if you come back late.
