Description of service
I paid $10/hr for use of a basic, but comfortable bicycle. I used it for only one hour, which is about one time up and down the boardwalk, with stops here and there for scenery and pictures. My wife also rented a bicycle, which they had in ladies frame. Also included are helmet, lock, and basket.
Review of Service
The service provided was good. The manager was friendly and even though the store was busy I felt like my business mattered to him. I had my choice of bicycles - none were particularly special, but that goes with the business. The rentals at Ocean City are high demand during the summer months, and bicycles get beat down. When I returned the bicycle the same manager was on duty, and asked about my experience. He made me feel comfortable coming back to him, which I probably will next summer.
Tips
One useful piece of advice is to get to the boardwalk and bike rental shops early. The price will be the same, of course, but there will be a little better selection available, and most important, the boardwalk will not be as crowded. Early in the day not only is the weather cooler, but the narrow boardwalk (in places) will be much easier to navigate.
