Description of service
This service was provided by a local bike shop to the area. The rental included maintenance, helmet and spare tire. The price was 12 dollars for one full day, which technically counted as bike shop hours 8 am to 5 pm. Subsequently, the bike was also for sale on a used price, the sale price for this model (Trek 4500) was $250 and the retail price is roughly $700.
Upon deciding to take a mountain biking trip up in Payson, Arizona we decided to look up Mountain Bike rentals. We found a total of two bike shops in Payson and one had a lower price than the other.
Review of Service
Our experience with this particular bike shop was very good. The bike was in great condition and performed wonderfully on the recommended trails. The bike shop that rented the bicycles recommended numerous trails for all kinds of riding. Best of all was the price, 12 dollars per day and that price included a helmet, spare tire and a warranty against any damage.
Tips
You should always shop around when it comes to bike rentals. There will be more than one bike shop in the area most likely and some shops offer different models and brands to choose from. Also, make sure you are provided a helmet with the rental charge, most shops do this.
