Description of service
A one-day, four hour long class teaching the methods of Bob Ross to paint a Christmas Scene. Price included canvas, paints, supplies, and instruction.
Review of Service
My painting only slightly resembled that of a Bob Ross oil painting when all was said and done! The service was good. It was a relatively cheap price considering all of my supplies were provided (with the exception of a roll of paper towels which I had to bring), and it was a fun, four-hour experience where I was encouraged to attempt to do something that the actual artist makes look so easy on television. I did not end up with any "happy little trees", but rather a good memory of a fun day and a good outing. And the completed painting made an excellent Christmas gift for my mother, who still adores my finger paintings from when I was a child. Worth every penny of the $45 I spent to take the class.
Tips
Don't expect a masterpiece. While my completed Christmas scene was still better than what I could have accomplished if left to my own devices, it still was not as promising as I thought it would be. Don't feel let down if you can't get your brush or knife to do exactly what the instructor is telling you to do--even though they make it look easy, it takes years of practice and skill to be able to paint with any degree of skill.
