the Price of Bob Ross Painting Classes

A local craft store offers Bob Ross painting classes at a dicount rate. You pick 2 projects that you want to work on and the teacher gives lessons on different techniques, how to mix colors, and even canvas stretching. Each project takes 3 to 4 classes to accomplish and you then get another 3 - 4 weeks to work on the second. All of the classes are included in the original $100. The only things that aren't included are the paints which are really expensive if you don't shop around.

I really enjoyed the different projects we worked on. They were very professional looking when done and the instructor was very patient and knowlegable. The cost of supplies was a little overwhelming at first but I was told to buy everything with coupons and that really helped. Working with oils is quite a challenge and I felt that we were given a lot of information in order to maximize our hour long sessions. The results are outstanding in my opinion and everyone in the class ended up making spectacular works of art. I'm glad that I can use this knowledge to create my own originals later on.

Make sure you only buy the supplies you need at the time. Buy on sale or with coupons and make sure you meet the instructor beforehand. If you don't like the teacher you won't like being in a room for hours listening to their instructions. Don't buy cheap imatations as I have found that it really makes a difference in your finished painting.
