the Price of Bob Ross Painting Classes

The price for this service includes five courses, each lasting about five hours each, on consecutive Saturdays. The class was led by a Bob Ross certified landscape painting instructor, and it was a small class of only ten people. The downside was that the price included the instruction only, and none of the art supplies.

I found this to be highly enjoyable, and I am glad that I did it. While I have little to no talent as a painter, something my high school art teacher would be the first to tell you, it was fun and relaxing, and as such well worth the cost. I enjoyed that it was a small intimate setting with only ten students in the class. This allowed for a lot of personal interaction with the instructor, who had good mentoring techniques. The downside was that the course did not include any supplies, I went a bit overboard to make sure I would have everything that I need. I would have preferred paying a high course fee that included the appropriate supplies.

Do not be afraid to just go and have fun. No one in the class is expected to do anything but that. Also be sure to get a supply list from the instructor so you purchase the right items, and not extras. Don't let anyone at the art store up sell you.
